It's a crucial reference for assessing the functional safety development capabilities of OEMs and their global suppliers. The Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) ranges from A to D, with D being the most stringent.

For this certification, KOTEI, under the guidance of the SGS Functional Safety Center, adhered to the ISO 26262:2018 standard. They integrated it into their existing development processes, covering all aspects of product life cycle including functional safety management, concept development, and software development. The company also formed teams of qualified functional safety engineers.
